iHAB - BallooMerang Project

BallooMerang is part of the Iowa High Altitude Balloon Project, a long-term effort to design and build a HAB vehicle/payload with autonomous flight capabilities.

The first mission goal of the BallooMerang Project with the aid of Amateur Radio and Model Aviation technologies, is to launch an aircraft powered by iHAB to Near Space (100K ft) and release. The aircraft will autonomously pilot itself back to the launch site.
